Welcome to Towcester Camera Club

We are a welcoming, inclusive, rapidly growing club with an enthusiastic group of photographers  - from beginner to professional - who are keen to share our knowledge and experience with other likeminded people. As club, we are not competition orientated, although we encourage those who are. The club enters two competitions a year - one inter-club and one Northamptonshire-wide. The whole club thrives on members talking, encouraging and supporting each other on all subjects, aspects and levels of photography.

In normal times, we meet every two weeks on a Wednesday evening in St Michael’s Church Rooms in Silverstone.

In light of COVID-19 developments, the Committee suspended all physical meetings following Government advice to do so. We will resume only when advice suggests that it is safe to do so. We have continued to meet virtually and successfully, using the ZOOM platform, with some minor amendment to our programme.

The Zoom platform has given us a view of what is possible, and hence we feel able to broaden the club's offer:

  • We will be extending the normal programme to include additional virtual speaker events, open to the general public via subscription. Subscribe here for our Autumn Speaker Series
  • From September we will be introducing a third session per month (see programme page)
There is a programme for the coming season and directions to our meeting place on this website. Through this programme of events we aim to cover all members' interests and abilities, and we're always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Our current members are predominantly users of digital equipment of all levels from phone to entry level compact cameras to drones and high-end DSLRs. Film photographers are also welcome.

Hopefully through this website we can give you a flavour for what we're about, and look forward to welcoming you to a club meeting soon. If you're interested in joining us then please contact the club Chairperson, Anne Gray via our contacts page.
